As we age, our facial fat tends to droop in the the eye and cheek areas causing undereye "bags", drooping jowls and facial indentations. Dermal fillers are perfect for replacing lost volume in the face. A Liquid FaceLift, either full or partial involves the use of advanced dermal fillers such as: Radiesse®, Restylane®, Perlane® or Juvederm®. Each of these dermal fillers has unique attributes that work in their own special way to contour specific areas of the face.
A full Liquid Face Lift will create a raised cheekbone to restore the ”apples” of your cheeks and lift the entire face for a youthful look. Radiesse, which has the largest molecule, is best for adding fullness and contour. Injected into the upper cheek area, it will create a beautiful, defined cheekbone and lift the cheek to pull up unsightly jowls and nasolabial folds (smile lines).
Fillers can also lift, fill or re-contour specific facial features. For example, undereye bags can be masked under the eyes by injecting a delicate filler like Juvederm® into the adjacent indented areas to create a smooth undereye area; it can also fill and hide "crow's feet" lines. Restylane or Perlane® can fill areas next to jowls to diminish their prominence; natural shape can be restored to flattened cheeks or temple areas; sunken corners of the mouth can be filled and lifted; smile lines, above and below the mouth, can be filled and evened.
The procedure involves only the use of injectable dermal filler; there is no invasive liposuction or cutting of the skin. It is performed in our office with a topical anesthetic. A patient may experience some slight bruising in the treated area which can be covered by makeup.
