FaceLift
The face is our most visible feature that conveys what and how we
feel through expression and appearance. Facial aging creates a loss
of skin elasticity and firmness, sagging tissue, wrinkles and a
general look of tiredness. These too visible signs of aging can
greatly impact how we feel about ourselves and how others see us.
Even a person who is animated and energetic can appear tired or sad
due to aging in the midface, jaw and neck.
If you are bothered by the signs of aging in your face, a FaceLift
may be right for you. It can correct sagging facial skin and
muscles, remove excess fat and restore firmness to create a more
youthful, rested and vibrant appearance with uplifted contours and
improved tone in facial skin and underlying muscle. A FaceLift will
not change your basic appearance, but will restore it to a younger
version of itself that will then continue to age naturally over
time. If needed, other procedures can be added to a FaceLift: a
BrowLift will correct a sagging or deeply furrowed brow and upper or
lower Eyelid Lift can rejuvenate aging eyes.
FaceLifts
are performed in a hospital setting under general anesthesia.
Initial healing may include swelling, temporary numbness and
bruising. Most facial incisions are well healed within one week and
patients can return to work and light activity in 2 to 4 weeks a
fresh, more youthful appearance.
